Which of these two builders I choose?
I did the sensible thing and got 2 of the estimates to reconstruct a small fence in my garden, was destroyed by recent severe storms (in concrete posts and wood panels). The constructor first contacted me two days later in writing an estimate, all laid out and a breakdown of the descriptions of their works. The second constructor, it is recommended that my neighbor came round and said the ring me up to date next to one estimate, in which he did, but costs £ 100 more. What builder would you accept? Do you think it is more sensible to assume that put everything in writing, as opposed to a verbal commitment?
I wish I had the first and not only because it is £ 100 cheaper! diane.
